The writing is indeed very smooth, and the nib does not get stuck while writing. The color is also quite good, and each letter is vibrant and easy to read. However, the pen tip with a thickness of 0.4mm is a little less smooth. So if you are looking for a comfortable writing experience, I would recommend 0.5 or 0.7mm thickness.

According to Pentel, Energel Ink dries very quickly even though it is gel ink. But compared to the other oil-based ballpoint pens, we will notice a little bit of smudge when we touch the ink right after writing.
